| Continuing toward the north, extending on three
hills finds one of the cities with more charm of Italy, Siena,
earth of excellent wines like Chianti, and of craft of great
quality. The city this considered as one of the European capitals
of the Gothic art. The best thing to be soaked of the magic
of Siena is to walk the streets. For sure the visitor will
feel as if has moved to a medieval authentic village with

Duomo
-
Enormous construction of Gothic style, begun in the
year 1150 and concluded in the year 1267, I didn't seize
their decoration. In the years 1284-1296 the inferior
part of the facade, it was had with marbles and the
lengthening of the apse was work of Camaino I gave Crescentino.
This work was interrupted and it served as base for
the construction of Duomo Nuovo, of which eight grandiose
arches were only built. Their main attractiveness are
the Font, located under the apse of Duomo, built in
the years 1316-1325; in the center of this is a baptismal
pile of Iacopo della among other Quercia who received
the collaboration to carry out it, of Donatello and
Ghiberti.

Torre del Mangia,

Maybe the first thing that gets the traveler's attention,
when arriving to Siena, be the 120 meters high of this
tower built in the year 1348. The highest part was design
of Lippo Memmi and you can consent to her going up the
503 steps with which it counts to enjoy a beautiful
view of the city and its neighbourhood.
